The Institute was established in the year 1989 with Trades Electrician, Wireman, Mech. Electronic & Mech. Radio T.V. having 64 seats capacity. The Institute has its own building situated at the height of approx. 5800 feet above Mean Sea Level in Dhari block of District Nainital. . It is situated 60 km from Haldwani city, It is 50 Km away from Kathgodam railway Station & 50 Km away from Nainital.. The Institute is covered under Private Public Partnership scheme of Government of India.
The Institute has its Institute Management Committee ( IMC). Various other different trades are being proposed to open in the ITI. Hence the intake capacity will almost trippled. The Institute is growing under the excellence guidance of IMC. New trades Welder, Fitter, Driver cum Mechanic, Mech. Computer Hardware having 02 units are opened & trades Electrician, Wireman & Mech. Electronic upgaded in the scheme. Enhance the total seating capacity from 64 to 252 seats. It is the only Institute in Uttarakhand State having ISO 9001:2008 certification.
In future it will be the best institute in the locality.
